My Question or Issue

I am having trouble switching my account from a student subscription to a family plan. I was sent an invitation code in an email, have accepted the invitation and am redirected to an 'Account Overview" page where I enter my name and address. The address definitely matches my dad's account's address, but I keep getting "102 - Oops something went wrong, please try again.". Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and why Spotify is not letting me switch my subscriptions! 

 

If I were to switch my account from premium for Students to Premium first, and then try to accept the family subscription invitation, would this help? I do not want to be triple charged, however!

Hope you're doing great!

Could you first try to cancel your current subscription in your Spotify's account page?

 

After being reverted to free, ask the owner of the Family plan to send the invite again.
