My Question or Issue

 

I was living in the Netherlands as a student and paying for my own Spotify account, but have now returned home and live with my parents in South Africa. My mom has set up a family Spotify account, but the link won't allow me to join.

 

I get this message, 

 

"You need to live at the same address...

It looks like you’re trying to join Premium Family from a different country. Premium Family is only available for family members that live together. Try again when you’re at the same address."

 

But I literally set up the account for my mom, and now live at home again.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

It's possible that your account is still set to the Netherlands. If you still have an active subscription, you would need to cancel it and wait for the account to revert to free before you can change the country setting. You can find out more about how this setting works here.

 

If both accounts are set to South Africa, it's a good idea to try accepting the invite via a an incognito browser and if you're using VPN - to disable it.
