Some songs not available?

I have spotify and pay monthly for my subscription, but when my friend sends me tracks a lot of them are unavailable on my account but he is able to play them? What's that about?

• Head to https://www.spotify.com/account/overview and confirm that both accounts have been selected as US accounts (some people have plaved wrong countries a few times)
• Check if this is happening in all devices or just one.
• Try finding the song on your own rather than by a shared link.
