Upgrade from premium to family

Upgrade from premium to family

Hi,

I would like to upgrade my account to a family premium plan. I have already been billed for this month an am afraid of being charged again full price if I upgrade. Is there anyway to roll the accounts into each other and just be charged the difference in price (i.e. Paid $9.99 for premium, family is $14.99, therefore there should only be a $5 addition to my current bill) Does anyone know if this is how Spotify will bill, or will they charge me the full $14.99 in addition to the $9.99 I've already paid?

Thanks in advance

I’d like to know this as well.

Hey there @ZS577132 and @mscooley 🙂

Thanks for reaching out with this question and sorry for the delayed response!

No worries, you won't be immediately charged for the Premium for Family rate if you were for example, charged a couple days ago for regular Premium.

When you start a Premium for Family plan as the owner, but you already have Premium, your next payment date will likely be a few days earlier than it was. This is because of the difference between the price of Premium for Family and the regular Premium subscription you were on.

You can always track all this on your subscription page.

You can also read more info on the Premium for Family plan and billing here.

We hope this helps 🙂
