switching to family subscription

I just got spotify premium and after I noticed the family upgrade and would much rather  that. Will I be charged $15 dollers or will I just owe $5?

Hey @jamulli, welcome to the Spotify Community!

When you subscribe to Premium for Family, all of your existing Premium time is "converted" into Premium for Family time. So, if you have 3 weeks of your subscription left, that will turn into 2 weeks of a Family subscription. Your $10 payment will count towards $10 of a Family payment, and your next payment will be moved forward slightly.
