Can't renew Spotify Discount due to "use by other account" though no others exist

My Question or Issue

 When I go to renew my Spotify Premium Student Discount I get the following message: "Your student credentials are already associated with another Spotify account." This does not make sense, since this account has used these credentials for the past 3 years.

Just to confirm, did you get an email asking you to renew your student discount? It might be that you are not due to renew the discount for another few months. 

If not, then it is possible that you have by mistake already activated the student discount on another, secondary account.

In order to locate this account and to transfer the student discount back to your original account, you will have to get in touch with our Customer Support team here. You will need to provide them with your SheerID student discount credentials.
