Charged for Student Premium 2 times when couldn't authenticate the first time

Charged for Student Premium 2 times when couldn't authenticate the first time

I saw there is a student premium now, so I wanted to apply for it. The first time I couldn't authenticate from the app because I forgot my login info to my unis page and I had to retrieve it, yet Spotify charged me the monthly amount.

Next time I tried from browser, I managed to authenticate and got charged again (rightfully now).

How can I get the first amount refunded?

Hey @jimi0302, welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

In this case, the charge should show on your statement as ‘pending’. This means your bank has put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken because Spotify did not verify your student status. This charge should be canceled soon. Wow, thanks for the very fast reply. Though I'm not sure the chrage is only on hold, because as you can see from the screenshot I provided, the said amount has really been removed from my bank account.
