Charged twice for failed student discount

I tried to sign up for the student discount and got an error message twice. I looked at my bank account and I was charged $4.99 twice for premium that i don't even have. How would I go about getting my $10 back?

Sorry to here you have had a billing issue.

 

Please note, your account may take up to 24 hours to update to premium.

 

Regarding being charged twice, this should of now pre-paid you for 2 months, however, we cannot be sure about that untill the premium is active.

No matter if student verification was successful or failed, a temporary charge goes through. These are only temporary charges on your credit card and they should disappear in a few days. The only charge that you actually have to pay for is if you were successfully verified for the student discount.

 

If you're having trouble signing up for the student discount, you can submit for manual verification (as a head's up, this can take up to 12 hours to process). For more info, check out Spotify Support and SheerID FAQs.
