I got an email to get a free Google Home. I reserved mine, and then got the email to finally check-out and buy it. My school email was the one on my Spotify account, but a school administrator controls what I can/can't do. I can't use that Gmail account to make purchases and I kept getting an error message. I looked up similar issues in the Spotify community and every response has told us to take it to Google and ask them if there's an issue with payment method, but Google responded what's in my screenshot below.
Our school emails don't let us go through with the Google Home purchase, we need to use our personal emails. I changed my Spotify username/email to my personal email, but I'm still not given the option of buying the Google Home because the email was originally sent to my school email. Is there any way to resend the email, but to my personal email that I've linked to my account?? I know I'm not the only one having this issue and it's out of Google's hands 😞
