My Question or Issue:

I got charged for the regular rate even though I have a premium student. It said my student premium ends on Apr 23, 2020. It is today and I did not receive a renewal email. So I just renewed it manually. But I still got charged the regular rate?

 

I don't know how to contact Spotify's support team so just posting here.

Requesting a refund for the overcharge please.

Glad to have you in the Community! 

 

Sorry to hear that you've been paying more than expected for your Premium subscription. We send you an email when your student discount is about to expire, so that you can renew your student status in time. If you haven't received any notification form us, make sure you entered the correct email address on your Spotify account.

 

You can also always check the status of your subscription on your account page, under Your plan.

 

While it's not possible to get a refund for your subscription retroactively, you can always get another 12 months of the discounted rate once you reapply for Premium Student so that the discount period is merely postponed until you reactivate it. 

 

With that said, if you already renewed your student discount but still got charged the regular rate the billing probably overlapped with the verification process. In that case you can reach out to our support teams here, so they can have a look at things backstage.
