Premium only lasting 4 years

Hello fellow Spotify users,

I have been a Spotify Student Premium user for 4 years now and the student plan has finally ended. Now I can see how the 4 year plan would make sense considering most students are only in College/Universities for 4 years. However in my case I am still a student after this 4th year and will still be one for about a year and a half finishing my degree. The main concern I have for this plan is that some students like myself are in school for more than 4 years and it just sucks to see that I am not allowed to keep that plan even though I am still a student. I feel bad for the students that may have more time than 4 years in their University like Medical professions and the Master's degree seekers. Thank you for reading this little rant.

Keep in mind that since most students go to college or uni for the duration of 4 years the student discount has been set for this period of time as per terms of use.

If you think other users might also like your suggestion for the student discount being available for longer than 4 years, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

This topic has been upvoted/liked by thousands of people in different posts over the years in this Spotify community, yet Spotify continues to ignore our pleas for extending the premium plan for students more than 4 years, despite saying that they will "review" the situation if posts on this topic receive more than 100 likes - which they have. I am thoroughly disheartened by Spotify's greed to make more money and let students who are in school longer than 4 years pay the price (literally), and it's even more disgusting that the company promises to review the topic if enough people show interest, yet when they do, Spotify completely sweeps everything under the rug and pretends like the community doesn't want this change to happen. We have been seeking this change for YEARS. If you have any weight at all in the company, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this happen. Spotify is screwing students out of money and losing business from those who would have had premium for more years if they just let us students keep the discount (that's for students anyways!). You probably won't read this or care to respond, but I hope you have the heart to do something about this, since it's obvious so many people want this change to happen.
