My Question or Issue

I have had Student Premium Discount for £4.99 since September 2017 , since I was 15 and this year (September 2019) I forgot to renew my student subscription at the time. I have gone in less than a month later to renew it and there is a whole new verification system for Spotify students stating that u need to be over 18 when previously u didn't. I will be 18 while attending my college (which isn't on SheerID). I'm confused why it is not letting me renew my student subscription as I have had it for 2 years and gave me the chance to extend. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out in the comunity. 

That souldn't be a problem and the solution is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Log-in to your Spotify account on a Laptop or Desktop
2. Go to this link to UPGRADE to Spotify Student ---> student upgrade
3. Click "Get Premium"
4. Enter Credit Card information and click submit
5. Enter your First and Last Name, as well as your school name to verify that you're a student and click submit.
6. There should be a verification of your status and the upgrade will automatically be changed in your account.

          But it is true what you said, you have            to be over 18 to claim the disscount.
