My Question or Issue: 

 

I was trying to change my account so that I can have the student discount. I just recently started classes at the University of Oregon, so maybe that's why the verification won't go through, but I have been enrolled as a student for a few months now... Why won't my verification go through, I would like to get the discount as I am eligible, but the site doesn't seem to agree with me. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community!

 

We use SheerID to verify your Student status. If they’re unable to, we’re afraid you’re not eligible for the Student discount at this time.

 

In that case, please check the following first:

  • You haven’t already claimed the discount on another Spotify account. Find other accounts.
  • Your school is listed. If you didn’t see your school in the list during sign up, you're not eligible right now.
  • You haven’t exceeded the 4-year limit. The discount lasts 12 months at a time, with the option to renew a maximum of 3 times as long as you're eligible.
