Student account changed to regular premium without any notification!

I have had a student Spotify plan throughout college and university and after every 12 months it has prompted me to reverify my account. However, in January 2019 my account seems to have changed automatically to a premium account without any prompt to verify or any notification via email or another contact. After a close inspection of my bank statement, I realised that for the last 6 months I have been charged £9.99 instead of £4.99 without realising, even though I am still a student. I have now changed my plan back but I'm wondering if a refund of the £30 is at all possible, as we all know every little helps for a student especially when I didn't realise this money was coming out of my bank.
