I decided to redeem this "Student discount" but when i verified once it was unsuccessful . After a few weeks i tried again and i have neither received an email nor SMS back on whether my verification was successful . I am definitely eligible as this was recommended by schoolmates .

In case you receive this error message you need to get in touch with SheerID. They'll send you an email including a valid activation link allowing you to apply the student discount to your Spotify account.
