Switching to existing student account

Hi,

I recently heard about student accounts so I tried to get one, but I couldn't switch to a student account using my Facebook account. So I created a new account for a student account, but I realized I COULD actually use my facebook account, so I tried cancelling my new student account so I could use my facebook account as my student account. 

However, I can't switch student accounts for another 12 months! Can you help me out?

Hi @nickeymouse and welcome to the Community! 🙂

Once activated, the student subscription will stay locked to the account for 12 months. It's actually not possible to switch it until it expires (even if you cancelled).
When it gets close to renewal, Spotify will send you an email with details how to reapply. At that time, you can then use it on the preferred account. If you have more questions on the Student discount you can also check out Spotify's support page .
