My Question or Issue

I saw that the exclusion for Quebec had been removed from advertising for student premium accounts, and went to check it out. McGill University in Montreal, QC had been added to the list of recognized institutions where it hadn't been before. I went through all the steps to verify and am now verified as a student. However, in order to claim the discount, I have to check a box saying that I'm not a resident of Quebec, and the subscription won't process whether I check the box or not. Can I actually claim this discount? If so, how?

I remember writing something about the whole law in Quebec pertaining to monthly subscriptions, and i remember seeing something where a person set up a VPN to allow them to get the Premium for Students.  Now im not sure if it worked but its an idea.

Right now, Premium Student isn’t available in Quebec due to circumstances outside our control. This would explain why you were having troubles signing up for Premium Student. Hopefully we can offer this in the future though!

As for seeing your university in the list, our tech teams have done their magic backstage so it reflects this.

So what you are saying is that even though it's on the list (It is not, by the way), Premium Student is NOT available for McGill and other universities in Quebec. Am I correct?

Just to be clear, you mean that McGill (and possibly other Quebec schools) show up in the Sheer ID "Request to Add School" form (https://offers.sheerid.com/sheerid/add-school-request) as eligible (that's how it shows as for me currently) but right now are not actually eligible for the Student Premium offer?
