How to get followers?

So after being a spotify member for a year or so, and the option to follow users, artists, bands was added I was wondering if there is a way to gain more followers, it's easy for me to follow my friends and my favourite artists but not so easy to get followers. Anyone who know's any ways to gain followers please comment in this forum, thankyou.

Hi,

I was just poking around.  I'm having some degree of confusion in my navigating this site so "poking around" is as specific as I can get.

You can check out my album "Journey" (A Steven Samler Project) and if you like it...follow, add to your playlist etc.  I'm trying to learn this stuff as fast as I can. I guess just search for Steven Samler or Stevensamler (I'm trying to get the metadata changed because there's another artist with the exact nem as mine.
