This game is meant to be played by taking turns posting songs, with each posted song featuring album art that shares something in common with that of the previous song.
Each posted song should also be accompanied by a short description of the album art similarity that you've notice between it and the song right above it in the thread.
For instance, if someone had most recently posted this song in the thread:
spotify:track:36YCK4KXCjUY8rWr3153uX:small
, then one possible song you could share next is:
spotify:track:18EkFrYFOGyFK52iiWY8No:small
In that case, along with the song you share, you could write something like “Both album covers feature a sign” (if that’s the similarity you’d like to mention).
As another example, if the most-recently posted song in the thread was:
spotify:track:0FTvNL4vx09qJHpwgDuquc:small
, then one possible song you could share is:
spotify:track:6rcsdvuVea4kXhq2TCgysv:small
In that case, along with the song you share, you could write something like “There’s a mushroom on both album covers” (if that’s the similarity you’d like to mention).
These are just a couple examples that I thought of from songs in my Spotify library, but the album art similarity you write next to the song you post could be anything that's there—whether it’s something specific (e.g. “The album titles are in the same font on both album covers”) or something more abstract (e.g. “Both album covers have a dark background color”).
Anyone can post the first song to start, and from then on we can take turns sharing songs in the thread with similar album art to the song above it (along with a short description of the similarity).
Cheers!
Hey, Adam
It's been a while. I hope I'm getting you started off right. I figured that I would do this for both examples, since I can think of one for each. I'm not sure if you would want or if the next person would be able to keep it going in the same way. I appreciate you making this game, though. I hope I'm not making it too difficult, by posting album covers that are too similar.
For the first example:
https://open.spotify.com/track/18EkFrYFOGyFK52iiWY8No?si=rzMKEG01Td2jGQmoCZ0Yqw
They both have signs in what looks a western setting. I actually know the town of Hondo, Texas. I went to see and stay with a friend, pretty often, back in the day.
For the second example:
https://open.spotify.com/track/6rcsdvuVea4kXhq2TCgysv?si=QpFSjWzYQkeg4GKvNK8WKQ
They both have a mushroom about in the center of the album cover. I wish there was more, for both, but these are what immediately came to mind.
Hi @MadmanOnWheels,
Thanks for sharing these songs with similar album art! I don’t think it matters how similar the album art in each post is to the last one, and the theme that links the album art could change or vary with each post, if the thread continues for a while.
I’ll share this next song because I’d say it has similar album art to that of the last song by the Allman Brothers Band that you shared (there are somewhat orange skies above what looks like a body of water in both album covers):
https://open.spotify.com/track/4ScFWtAsVAWTCawF1hHehW?si=18da3d07047445fa
And just to clarify, from now on each post in this thread should include just one song (with album art similar in some way to the most recently-posted song).
Cheers!
Orange sky reflected in water with a similar shaped island here too:

https://open.spotify.com/track/1IwHFvGcl2ijxR1tFIj1gM?si=fJePRGDJTryUK0s5xWkrBQ
Tropical ocean scene set against an orange sunset, and at least one palm tree.
Thanks for sharing, everyone!

This album also has a boat on its cover art.
