Discovery sucks. I do not get all new music of my favourite artists.

I have favourited some artists and the expectation is that I get updates of their latest music. But the discovery of spotify is currently pathetic. It is difficult to find new music.

Also if I turn smart shuffle on, I get recommendations of songs that are already in other playlists.

Please revamp discovery, else I would have to switch to alternatives 😞

Are you talking about the Discover weekly playlist? or are you just having problems finding new music in general? If you're having problems finding new music this might be because you mostly listen to the same genre which makes the recommended songs bland. If this isn't the case, you should try creating a new playlist with a song that you don't listen to often, and is somewhat unique. Then check out what Spotify recommend for that playlist and i bet you'll find something and/or someone new to listen to! 

If you do listen to music which all are similar to each other, you should use the mentioned method with a song from discover weekly or a random playlist you find by searching for the mood you're down to listen to. Hope this helps you discover something new 🙂

No, I am not referring to the Discover weekly playlist. 

I am referring to the recommendations in general. Recommendations of YT Music and Amazon music related to my playlist are accurate and I end up adding almost all to my playlist. 

Also other apps put so much emphasis on discovery. If you check YT Music, their explore section, you may get the idea.

Is it really hard to find new music from particular artists? I get the “this so-called ‘feature’ isn’t working” frustration.

I follow artists to get all their latest releases as a radio or one single album. That doesn't happen.

Nor I find music related to my playlist. (The suggestions I get are the ones that are already in some other playlist of mine.)
