Oh, you must have been a Star right before me! I don't remember you. I actually left because I started working indirectly for Spotify, it was pretty cool otherwise, I met my husband who was also a Star from the program. I agree the swag was very repetitive, once you got it all, it became excessive. But now, for sure they give out Premium for free for being part of the program. It's even in the FAQ here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/tkb-p/Spotify-Answers/label-name/%20community%20help --> "What are the rewards in the Spotify Star Program?" 
Even the swag is updated, I used to work in the Community team until some time last year, but it works differently than before to get it. Not sure if you were part of the RSP when the top 10 stars would get a mention and then top 3/5 would get sth, that was the system right when I joined as Star but it changed within a month. Definitely not done this way anymore, check the FAQ I sent you it has more details. 
Anyways, you don't have to join just thought to mention it since you could just get the Premium for your contributions and whatever you get from gathering cans, you can donate to people for example.

Moderator contacted me long ago about joining back, but for now I am not interested a lot.

Not so long ago someone stole bike lamp from my bike. It had 40 lumens only and was worth maybe 6 euro.

I biought new one which has 70 lumens. Package also included back light for 25. USB chargeable, so no more batteries.

Well I've recently been exploring Spotify's EQ system and found it pretty interesting. I've been trying to find the perfect pattern with the best selections that will emphasize the beats and increase the bass. Been running a few, lately.
