I am only on this community site to try and remove Joe Rogan from my homepage (I don't listen to podcasts generally, least of all that guy).

I suspect it's fruitless because Spotify is more interested in getting good #engagement metrics to flatter whichever manager made the JRE decision, rather than recommending me music I might like.

I've seen clips, because JRE is absolutely everywhere on the internet. The couple of times he (or his guests) were talking about something I'm interested in, the discussion was just shallow and wrong.

It reminded me of that time a (well-meaning but not very technical) colleague tried to convince me that quantum mechanics might account for ghosts.  It's like... no, I studied that at university a bit, and that's absolutely unconnected.

But regardless, Spotify is increasingly pushy about podcasts in general (which I just don't listen to AT ALL!) and to dedicate an entire row of the home screen to JRE is very obviously not driven by my behaviour or preferences.  There's no way to turn off that recommendation, or podcasts in general, because they don't care that it's a bad fit for me - they're willing to sacrifice the relevance of their homepage on the off-chance it boosts JRE's numbers, and that makes me trust all of their recommendations less.
