“New Releases for You” showing completely irrelevant things

Hi, I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I thought I’d try. 
The New Releases for You that shows up right when I go into the app has music most of the time that isn’t even from artists I follow. Instead it shows music from artists I haven never even heard of, never listened to, or haven’t listened to in like five years and really want to forget about. I just want relevant music from artists I follow appearing there, like I was told should be. 
Does anyone know if there’s a way to fix this?
