Great question! At the moment, I'd say my favorite song about an animal (or at least with an animal in the title) is:

I think the fuzzy distorted guitar riffs sound great in this track; and the chorus includes the lyric, “the mongoose flies on by,” which sounds funny to me since I can’t help but imagine a flying mongoose. Cheers!

Here's one that I just remembered. I haven't heard it in long, long while. Who else remembers this one from your childhood? Even though it was written for kids, I guess, it's not necessarily for kids only, and it's just a good song that has good lyrics. It's about freedom.
