For me, it’s Pink Floyd.

This track resurfaced for me last week, and the moment it started, I was instantly transported back to their Auckland concert — complete with 8-track surround sound that didn’t just sound real, it felt real.
I remember running through rows of fans, some dressed in white robes holding candles. It was surreal, immersive, and one of the true highlights of my early adulthood.
Hey hey!
Mine must be this one:

MJ reminds me of those younger years at school dancing to his choreographies with our classmates and blasting his bangers for everybody. Mostly Thriller in Halloween season where everyone was trying to learn those moves!🎃🩻
What a lovely question!
For me it's anything by The Beatles
My brother and I used to listen to one of their LPs my dad had. That's what got us into old rock music
I revel in nostalgia and most of my favorite songs are linked to a memory. Pink Floyd is such a timeless classic and it also takes me back to my childhood, sitting in my dad’s car listening to his tapes (slowly killing the battery) and imagining I’m on some great adventure. Even though I didn’t understand any of the songs I absolutely loved the energy 🤘
Another very recent example I rediscovered is "Catch" by Kosheen. It reminds me of the time my younger sister was born. The little wobbly creature - all grown up now.

Great question @tunedIN!
Bon Jovi´s first album is the one that takes me back. This band got me into glam-/hardrock genre in the 80s.😎

Mine is Lucky by Britner Spears. I was 10 years old when our class chose that song to be our song for Aerobic performance(Zumba like) and we got second place! Haha
Brings me back to the mid to late 2000s (when I discovered the song)

My aunt played this a lot
For me, it’s Jon Bon Jovi! ‘Shot Through the Heart’ was the first English song I really got into. 🙌 🙌
As a nostalgic, musical sponge of the '70s, I recently wallowed in the sights and smells of childhood, as I listened intently to The Wings new Deluxe release of Paul McCartney's "Let Em In". It brought back a simpler, sweeter time when family came over for Thanksgiving!
311. Summer weekends, my buddy Mike and I would throw the CD "From Chaos" into his blue S10 Pickup, drive up I-75 in Michigan waiting for Champagne to come on as we headed to my parents tiny cabin on Long Lake to wakeskate behind the 1970 Mustang Browning boat with 85 horsepower Evinrude engine that would only start with a spray of ether into the air intake. For me it's "They Don't care about us" : https://open.spotify.com/track/3wuCCNCnBhJlwkIJTBZFiv?si=d9310533f92f4313
Wow, Pink Floyd really has that timeless quality....... I totally get what you mean, some songs can instantly transport you back to a very specific memory or feeling. For me, it’s usually The Beatles or early 2000s pop punk like Blink-182; the moment I hear a track, I’m immediately back in my teenage bedroom, posters on the walls, and headphones on. Music really has a unique way of freezing moments in time.
For me, it’s Nirvana. Hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit instantly takes me back to high school, blasting it on my headphones in the garage with friends, feeling like we were part of something bigger than ourselves. The raw energy and chaos of that song perfectly capture those carefree, rebellious days.
Great question! For me, anything from my younger years hits instantly but if I had to pick, I’d say about Tllah najum. Every time I hear their music, it takes me straight back to simpler days, old memories, and that whole vibe of growing up. Funny how a song can bring back a whole moment in a second.
For me, it was "Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. It was just like something from another planet at that time.

nice😁😂
For me, it’s definitely “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana—instant flashback to high school chaos and skateboards. 🎸
