Specific audience tailoring for artist campaigns and marquee

I am an unknown artist on Spotify, so with the advent of marquee, campaigns, showcase and the artist promotions, I was really excited to see what I kind of momentum I could get going. With them being so new, I wanted to offer one main suggestion for the Artist Promotion. 

The name of the game with music promo is finding the correct audience, not shotgun blasting your music into the void. My suggestion would be something like "my music sounds like this" or "sounds similar to this artist." I see that stuff pop up on the spotify app all the time "since you like __" etc. Right? 

The only options i get for showcase are where in the world I want to showcase to or which of my audience do I want to showcase to, which to me doesn't necessarily seem like I'm going to retain any new fans.

To me it would make more sense for example to say: 

Who do you want to advertise to?: fans of bossa nova, samba, or latin music

Which locations? LA, NYC, Sao Paulo, Rio

Who are some musicians you have a similar sound to? Joao gilberto, antonio carlos jobim, sessa

Something like this. 

It's kind of frustrating to me that the showcase burnt up 100% of my budget and not get my music in front of a specific audience, when advertisers like meta (facebook/instagram) have those specific things. Would be great to see..
