Spotify's "Choice" to pass on 100% tax collection

Like all media steaming suppliers, streaming into Canada, they have now been requested to collect taxes for Canada. Spotify is just the latest to implement this cost to customers. If "streamers" want to continue to supply Canadian customers with service, why don't they, at the very least, share in this added cost with the customers? I would be more than pleased with streaming services, and to continue using these services if they would only see the benefits of matching 50% of the taxes collected, for said country. I'm seriously considering discontinuing many streaming services, due to this issue.
