Is Spotify running advertising for ICE or Border patrol recruitment? If I see 1 ad for such nonsense, I will be cancelling my Spotify accounts and will encourage all others to do the same.

9 year subscriber. cancelled the family plan yesterday.

my son lives on spotify, so it's creating a bit of friction... but not nearly as much friction as BEING RIPPED AWAY FROM MY FAMILY.

in that sense, i'm happy to vote with my $$. it's the only thing politicians listen to. well, that and violence (but we don't want that now, do we...)

I see people, assuming they are members regarding the placement of ICE recruitment on this platform.  Is this true? Is there a response?  I will sadly, but gladly give up my decades-long relationship with them if so.  I cannot have my US Dollars support fascism, unlawfulness and blatant disregard for the constitution.

Yes, unfortunately it looks like they are.  I feel the same way and will cancel my Premium account (which I've had for 10 years) if they do not pull the ads.  Solidarity - can't believe this is the greedy, oppressive reality we are living in.

Our family will not be utilizing Spotify until ICE recruitment ads are not done on this platform. We live in a democracy and masked ICE agents are terrorizing our country.

I'm not cancel culture so am not looking to cancel my membership, but I do find it distasteful to put it mildly that Spotify would take marketing / advertising money from the federal government for such controversial government agencies who are violating constitutional and human rights of many citizens and non-citizens. It is extremely disappointing and I wanted to have my opinion heard.

I've been a Spotify user for about a decade, a paying customer for about 5, and put a ton of time into creating many carefully curated playlists. It'll be a shame to lose what I've done, but it's a small price to pay for having morals.

Yes! We just canceled our Premium Subscription for this exact reason. We WILL NOT support fascism. These apps may seem ubiquitous in our lives but we have agency to leave when they are hurting our neighbors.

I’ve been a Family Plan subscriber for over a decade and have always appreciated the platform. However, I’m deeply disappointed to see recruitment ads for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) running on Spotify.

These ads don’t align with the inclusive values Spotify promotes and make me uncomfortable as a long-time listener. I urge you to reconsider allowing this type of advertising on your platform.

I just contacted help via the chat and asked them to stop running ICE ads. I told them to stick to music and stay out of politics. Perhaps everyone should press them on this everyday via the chat until they stop. I don't want to cancel b/c the music is great. Profiting from promoting anti-immigrant hate is wrong.
