AXE advertising

Hi,

I just noticed a strange behavior (again) and want to ask if it's a new advertising method of Spotify.

I'm Spotify Free user from Germany and while I listened music (and worked in Photoshop) my web browser unexpectedly opened. Then (as usual) it loaded my last session / tabs, but it also opened a new tab with: https://www.axe.de/ which seems to be the trigger for opening the browser at all.

The only probable reason is Spotify with it's AXE Black advertising campaign, which was also shown in my Spotify player.
Am I the only one experiencing this behavior? Is this really caused by Spotify?

If so, I want to say: I really don't like this! Just stay in your own software! Advertisement is acceptable, but not if it works this way.

It distracts the user from whatever he/she is doing.

For me it is extra annoying as I usually work with many open tabs in some browser sessions and I just don't want them to pop up randomly as they need a lot of RAM space which may be in use by other software at that moment. Furthermore I have to wait until it loads more or less all tabs before I can close the browser again to make sure it won't lose any tab.

Regards

To make it even worse, the adress of the opened tab is https://www.axe.de. The certificate that gets delivered is for *.test.edgekey.net. And that's a no go.

I really dont like this odd add behaviour!
