New User Question: Spotify as a music player only/limited sharing?

Newbie

Brand new here. My spouse got us a family plan; it's just the two of us. My needs are old fashioned, and I'm trying to determine if this is the service for us. Here's my wish list:

-- I want to use Spotify as a media player only; I'm not interested at all in the social aspects.

-- In fact,  don't want to make my activity or playlists public, period. I would like to occasionally share tracks, playlists with my better half.

-- I don't want to sync Spotify with a Facebook profile.

I've adjusted Social settings in my account, turning off "make new playlists public," as well as "publsh my activity" and "show my top artists." I've set my status to Private Session.

What can I now expect to be public about my account  playlists, and favorites?

If it's not already clear, I'd like to use Spotify as my radio, but I'd like to be able to share tracks and playlists with my spouse, who's also on the account we share. (As it is, when I try to use "find friends," Spotify wants me to log into Facebook.)

Thanks in advance for any assistance!
