Spotify Follow Button not working ("Something went wrong")

Hi guys - noticed a lot of Spotify Follow Buttons not displaying correct and only showing the word "Something" - like from "Something went wrong".

Any idea why this error comes up? Happens even on the Spotify website. Example attached.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hey @John_Gold

This is currently a known issue with the embeded follow widget. There is currently no estimate on when it will be fixed.

Thanks a lot for your feedback @MattSuda - good to hear.

It looks like some work and some don't. Not sure why. Will await fix.

Whoops, spoke too soon.

While the display of the follow button looks ok, if you click on the name or the profile picture, it will go to the artist page of Avicii. This is a bug that is being investigated. Hopefully a full fix soon.

my spotify is linking to a artist called avicii also ,whats up with that?

Yes - sounds like Matt points out that this a known error above. Hopefully fixed quickly. Avicii will be happy about it I guess 😉

Follow embeds are fixed. No more linking to Avicii

Great! Thanks a lot, Matt!

Sorry for Avicii - but I guess he's on a musical break anyway 😉

You're welcome

I'm embedding some spotify follow buttons, and I'm still getting the "Something went wrong, please try again later." It is only with some artists and only some of the time. I had different artists showing the error yesterday, but they seem to be okay today, but now other ones are showing the error. Which artist is problematic is seemingly random.

By the looks of it, this is apparently not a new issue, so it doesn't appear to be solved. I just wanted to let it be known to anyone who may be able to address it further that I am still seeing at least a similar issue to the one in this thread.
