If you've been around the Spotify Community for a while, you may have noticed that we try to keep tabs on your suggestions for improving Spotify through our Idea Exchange. We hope that you continue submitting ideas to make Spotify even better. While we can't promise that we'll build every idea that gets submitted, we'll do our best to consider each of them and provide updates wherever possible.
The guidelines:
- Search for previously submitted ideas. Someone may have already submitted the same idea.
- Use an intuitive title. Avoid vague or non-descriptive titles.
- One idea per post. No double dipping.
- Ensure the idea is implementable. Avoid posting general feedback or questions in the idea exchange.
- Keep the idea description short and sweet
The idea statuses:
- New idea: this is a new and unique idea, you can add your kudos here.
- Inactive Idea: Ideas that could not gather at least 100 kudos per year will get closed - you can submit this idea again if you still feel the topic should get some attention.
- Duplicate Idea: The idea exists. As a next step, we may merge the idea, or just post it to the existing idea.
- Good Idea, give it some kudos: We like this idea but we want it to get more popular, so add your kudos and comments!
- Under Consideration: We’ve submitted the idea internally for consideration.
- Watch this space: This idea is now being discussed internally. Don’t hold you breath, but it might happen…
- Not right now: This idea has been discussed internally. It now looks likely that we won’t implement the idea any time soon.
- Case Closed: We talked about it, but we won’t be running with it. Thanks anyway!
- Implemented: We've finished building this. In some cases, we already built it.
- Unspecified: We're not sure what status to give this idea
Once an idea has been submitted, we'll try to make sure that the ideas with the most votes get updates and status changes.
