If they don't care about that suggestion, neither should we.

Spotify allows the Trojan Horse in... AGAIN.

What is the issue Spotify? You guys removed the previous condom advertisements because of the negative feedback (such as this thread) only to bring it back again? Audio commercials already disrupt the ambiance of my and other's Christian worship playlists; but to interrupt it for a sexually-inclined/explicit advertisement is that much more wrong.

I will again be boycotting Spotify until I hear confirmation that all such advertisements have been removed.

Wow. I had mixed feelings about these ads until reading this thread. Spotify says they will pull them but puts them back in anyway?! Ridiculous!

I have also decided to completely abandon Spotify after hearing these terrible ads one after the next. They are louder than the music, intrusive, and inappropriate. What's next, advertising for porn sites? Back to Pandora for me, where the ads are appropriate and not embarrassing. Spotify users, just use another service, and Spotify will feel your pain. Even if you are a free user, they are making money off of you! Don't support these tawdry tactics!

Enough with the Trojan commercial already! I have had to put up with it more than three times today. Not only is it an incredibly obnoxious commercial, but I find it wildly inappropriate for an Internet radio that can be heard by children and coworkers.

Glad I found this thread. I USE SPOTIFY IN MY CLASSROOM!!! I'm an art teacher, and it gives my kids a little extra motivation to have music playing while they work. Can you imagine what would happen if an administrator was sitting in my room while one of these obnoxious ads came on??? Clean it up, Spotify, or I cannot continue to support your service.

I will try to use every filter I can to block these ads...I'll give it one more shot, and then I'm pulling the plug. This is RIDICULOUS!!!

That's not really a Spotify issue if you think about it, since Spotify is only licensed for personal usage you are in fact breaking the terms and conditions by playing in your classroom and then complaining about it.

Just my 2 cents,

Honestly, I understand that I am an adult, but I cannot stand having to listen to the condom ad every 10 minutes. I'm so tired of hearing about condoms! If spotify has to keep the ads because Trojan pays for them, please give the customers the opportunity to opt out of them. I would take an ad every couple songs as long as it isn't promoting condoms. PLEASE fix this!

Stop whining and take out a subscription. It's incredibly good value.

Just heard a Trojan ad on Spotify with a celebrity claiming you have to use a condom to be a responsible man in today's world. This doesn't really make sense. Spotify, do better with your ads, please!

I submitted a complaint directly to the Spotify staff about this issue a few years ago because I used to use spotify with my church to play background music for the kids, aging from about 3 years old through fifth grade. I was lucky to have caught that ad very quickly, and then noticed it was continuing to come up frequently. While I did not recieve a response back, I stopped hearing those ads, and actually thought that they'd listened to their cusomter base. I assumed that others had also made complaints, which I confirmed as soon as I found this thread and others like it on the Spotify website. The only reason I've now found this thread over three years later is because they are back again. I am listening in my college dorm room, so the audience is me, and occasionally my roomate. However, I don't need to hear these ads. They first of all depict my social status (college-aged male) as somebody who doesn't care about themselves or their partners, and also that it's just simply not appropriate. If Trojan really cares so much about people using their condoms because of the potential risks associated without them, then they can stop spending money on advertisements and just send them in the mail instead. I will not pay for a subscription just to stop hearing these ads, I will simply find a new streaming service.
