When I open spotify I see some "Hometown" thing with Obama on it and a stupid "Young & Free" playlist, neither of which are anything I have interest in. How do I remove this trash?
I pay for Spotify so I should have control over what shows up in my app. If I wanted to see politics and liberal propaganda, I'd watch CNN. I listen to music to get a break from that kind of garbage.
Hello!
Unfortunetly, there currently is not an option to "hide" these playlists but this is an issue that Spotify is aware of! Maybe sometime in the future this great idea will become reality.
Hope i helped!
If this was a free service, then fine. But I'm paying for this so I don't want to see that piece of trash that I've already had to endure for 8 years.
Thanks for your response. I hope Spotify makes some changes and learns that pushing a political agenda is the last thing they should be doing.
Apparently they haven't learned yet. "I'm with the banned" shows up. I don't like that. Do something for police appreciation or veterans. They won't. Thinking about switching my platform.
Currently waiting for a refund or at least acknowledgement that these ads cannot be turned off. Hey if Spotify wants to spend my money on political ads, fine, but don't feed me the ads as a paying customer with half a decade of premium family membership!
Pushing this to the home screen on premium subscribers is straight up garbage and a horrible decision. I talked to customer service and asked them to remove this junk from my home screen. They told me they could not comment on it at this time an there is nothing they can do. Is this communist China now? I want to listen to music, I don't want to be told to listen to former presidents and their wife. Customer service may not be able to anything but I can stop paying for this propaganda and I will be soon if not fixed.
Also very annoyed to be getting a full stack of Obama podcast and propaganda on my homescreen. I have never listened to any related podcast and I'd like "Higher Ground" removed. Clearly Spotify is pushing a partisan advertisement in an election year, with no counterbalance... why isn't Ben Shapiro or any thoughtful conservative podcasts being displayed? This demonstrates exactly why big tech CEO's appeared before the senate hearing in July, just stop it with the politics!
This is a sick joke. I already left one social media platform because they forced the lefts agenda on me daily and I’m ready to leave another because of it. I thought my “safe-space” was a music outlet. If I want to listen to**bleep** I will search for it in the gutter where it belongs. The option to remove it needs to happen. It should only appear if at all when you are in the podcast section and you should still be able to delete**bleep**. Pushing an agenda on people’s is why we are on the verge of a civil war.
