offline mode not working

Hi ,

 

Im making a playlist for my self to have offline so I can use it on the plane to america and when at work.

 

However after 39 songs synced it just stopped.

 

Ive gone offline and on again and get nothing.

 

Have also turned offline mode on and off still nothing.

 

can anyone help?

 

I have a premium account.

You can get in touch with Spotify technical support directly too if you like via the online contact form and they will get back to you via email. 

 

It is very strange it won't sync, I would definitely try another network (so WiFi too) and see if that makes any difference before cancelling. I'd also try adjusting the sync quality in the settings menu just to see if that changes anything. Does it stream fine?

hi

 

its a iphone 4.

 

never had an issue before but got a new account and now just wont sync anymore then 39 offline songs.

 

 

Hey 🙂 

 

How much free storage space do you have on your device? 

Spotify in general will stop synching when you have less than 500MB of free storage to leave space for other apps!

hi peter,

 

My old account had loads of offline synced though.

 

and I have icloud storage with 19GB left to use.

 

 

Strange, is that iCloud storage local to your device though or is it in the cloud? 

 

Does it always get stuck synching the same track?

yeah its always the 39th track

 

ive deleted the stuck song then tried again and it still fails.

 

 

have now deleted the playlist and made a new one.

 

selected offline and it has now just done nothing at all.

 

synced 0.

I know you're using iCloud storage - but how much free space do you have on the device itself?

Would you be able to clear some more space and see if it will then sync? 

806MB isn't a lot of free space, in general it is recommended you have at least 1GB+ free before trying to sync anything from Spotify.

now have 1.2 GB

shall I wait until I am home and have wi fi access to attempt syncing again?

You can do it over 2G/3G/4G if you like and have the data usage to do so! 😉

nope still absolotely nothing.

 

i click off line and it just turns its self back to online only.

 

literally wont sync anything now.

 

 

It might be worth trying a clean reinstallation of the application and see if that helps at all?

it now says available offline on but 0 songs synced and it isnt syncing them at all.

 

 

Already deleted and reinstalled multiple times.

 

 

close to cancelling with them if im honest.

 

no customer service telephone number and nothing seems to work.

 

shouldnt have to pay £10 a month for nothing .

 

I know you dont work for them and are trying to help but is this all we can do at this stage>?
