Album Actual Sample Does Not Align with Response

I am returning an album object, and trying to access total_tracks, which is required according to the web documentation. However, the actual response is:

2. artist: "PARTYNEXTDOOR"

Any advice here? Getting the entire album track list to then count the tracks seems like a waste of an additional call, but the only work around as of now. Going to get expensive and slow.
