Legal Restrictions on Artist, Album, Song Metadata

Is there any restrictions for accessing, downloading, and storing metadata for artists, albums, and songs, including song length, release date, etc. for personal or open-source projects? I see there are these types of information in the terms of service, but I usually struggle with legal jargon. 

If the extent of the project includes accessing information through Spotify's API that would normally be publicly accessible, i.e. no user data, only metadata about the music itself, are there restrictions that I need to be aware of?
