Dear Spotify Developer Support Team,
I am writing to express my concern regarding the repeated rejection of my quota extension requests for our application Colisten. I have submitted five separate requests, each time revising the application precisely based on the feedback provided. However, all submissions have been rejected, and the reasoning is becoming increasingly unclear and seemingly inconsistent.
In the most recent rejection (April 4, 2025), one of the reasons cited was the use of Spotify content for AI or machine learning purposes. I would like to clarify that Colisten does not utilize any Spotify content for machine learning, artificial intelligence, or any form of automated model training. The app has no AI-related components whatsoever, making this reason entirely irrelevant to our use case. It is unclear why this item continues to be listed as a cause for rejection.
Additionally:
The Spotify logo and link have been clearly included throughout the app, in accordance with your Design Guides
We do not modify Spotify’s visual content beyond placing the logo on cover artwork, as previously advised.
At this point, I am unsure what else needs to be changed or corrected. Therefore, I respectfully request:
A clear explanation of the specific elements that are not compliant, with reference to exactly what needs to be revised.
Direct contact with a reviewer or support specialist to discuss the situation and resolve it cooperatively.
Guidance on how we can verify compliance before submitting again to avoid this repetitive and discouraging process.
We have invested significant effort to follow every guideline provided, and we are committed to working within Spotify’s terms. However, the lack of precise feedback is making it extremely difficult to move forward.
Thank you for your attention and support. I sincerely hope to resolve this matter with your guidance.
Best regards,
Colisten
