Turning off Spotify Connect or adjusting it's behaviour?

My Question or Issue

So, I'm having a problem when I'm playing music in my office and my kids want to play music on our Alexa in the living room or on the Sonos System it switches what I'm listening to and I need to start it over or tell them to stop. Can I turn this behaviour off? I want to listen to my playlist and if they want to hear something we should be able to listen to different things at the same time eh? All these devices are in my name and use all my playlists.
