What happens when you play on a user that has never used any device?

Been thinking about developing an app that consumes the spotify API and I've been wondering what would happen if I attempt to play a song on an account that has no devices associated to it?

Is there a way to create a faux device for testing? Make the account fake play songs, ie: hit play on a song, confirm aftere 15 seconds that the song is playing and that other users can sync to what that user is "listening" to

Welcome to the forum, @Vanor! The Web Playback SDK can be used by Spotify Premium users to stream audio in the browser.  Depending on what you need to test, this may be useful for you - it creates a virtual 'device' you can control using the playback APIs.
