Amex Serve and Student discount

I have been trying for the past few days to sign up for premium for students. Whenever I click on "Student Discount" it takes me straight to checkout(Without making me verify my student status). I then proceed to attempt to checkout(Even though I know it didn't make me verify) and it always says "Payment Failed". I have tried paying for non-student premium and that does not work either. I thought that Amex Serve was supposed to work with spotify. Please help!

Once you've paid for the subscription, Spotify's verification partner, SheerID, will send you an email with instructions to confirm your student status 🙂 At the moment, though, Spotify doesn't accept prepaid cards issued by American Express.
