Are eftpos cards accepted?

Hiya ive been using spotify for a long time and finally i want to upgrade to  premium as i am going on a flight and need some music to listen to. 

I filled in my details but it says "the payment method and country do not match" and to change my accounts location. Note i am using a eftpos.

I live in Australia and have all my life and thats what it is set to. 

Why does it say this? What is the issue? Is there an issue with my debit card itself or my spotify account? Are eftpos cards not accepted? Very unsure and really want to get premium quickly.

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

Your card needs to have been issued in the same country registered to your Spotify account.

Just to confirm, is your card registered in Australia as well?

If so, we'd recommend giving it another try in an incognito or private window in your browser.

We'd also suggest making sure to try using a internet connection, for example if you're using 3G/4G, try again after connecting to a WiFi network.

As for using an EFTPOS card, it's also a good idea making sure it's enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. There's more info about this in this support site article.
