Can't cancel subscription, have to call bank to dispute charges

I don't have a spotify account, just a recurring charge of 12.99 I'd like to stop paying. When I called the number listed with the transaction in my banking app I was informed I have no options without an account. I have 3 sons who all have their own xbox so this isn't my first time discovering I'm paying for something I've no knowledge of. I'm not after a refund, just no more charges. I'll call my bank. Just wish it was an easier process. Less headache. I must be the only parent ever to have kids who don't understand or appreciate money that isn't theirs?
