Can't upgrade to Premium although I already had a Premium account

Hi Spotify Community,

I am based in Hungary. I already had a premium account. I paid for it with the same credit card (Hungarian) as now. However now it tells me that "the card is registered in a country where Spotify is not available".

 

Do you know what the reason for this might be?

We'll gladly help you out.

 

This error message usually means that the country used for your Spotify account doesn't match the country where your card was issued. You can update your account's country following these steps.

 

If you're sure your Spotify account was set up in Hungary and you've never changed it before, you might have multiple Spotify accounts. Just follow this troubleshooting to see if you find the one you were using before.
