Cancelled Spotify account can't get free Vodafone Spotify as it says I already have premium Spotify

I rang Vodafone a few times. This time the link worked for accessing the free Spotify . But then although I cancelled my own premium Spotify account..it keeps saying that I can't have the Vodafone free Spotify because I 'already have a premium account '. I have gone into my Spotify account and cancelled again but I can't access my free Spotify. Vodafone have said to contact Spotify to make sure it is fully cancelled? What do I do? There seems to be no helpline. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please wait until the subscription is completely expired, so you can repeat the subscription through the Vodafone website 🙂

I’m having a similar problem, i’ve Got Spotify free for 12 months. My premium subscription with Spotify ran out today 29th Dec. I’ve tried on the Vodafone link to start up the 12 months free, but it sends me a pin code, I enter that get to my Spotify app & it throws me out & I have to start again. It just won’t work, even though my subscription is totally cancelled.

Any ideas?
