I cancelled my premium in April 2017 but spotify still charged me with £9.99 in May and June as well and the app says that I'm a free user.

Thanks for confirming. It’s possible you have two accounts, have you subscribed to Spotify with a different username/email maybe?

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

The first thing to do is check your email for a Confirmation Email. Each user receives one after cancelling their Spotify subscription.
