My Question or Issue

Entering new credit card FAILED!

Im a paying customer since forever (I am sincerely grateful to you for giving me a generous price increase!)

((I have "goverment protected Identity", Spotify, please procede with causion!))

Betalningen misslyckades. Försök igen eller använd en annan betalningsmetod.

Jag har testat följande:

  • Är registrerad i samma land som ditt Spotify-konto. : OK
  • Inte har löpt ut. : OK
  • Är upplåst för utländska och återkommande betalningar, samt har secure online. Du brukar kunna hitta dessa inställningar i din banks mobilapp. : OK
    Tipps: Swedbank-kort måste aktiveras för internetköp. : OK
    Jag har testat, Santander + Swedbank
  • Testa att skriva dina betaluppgifter igen via ett privat-/inkognitofönster. : OK (Incognite + Jag har även testat utan plugins, samt i MS Edge och Chrome helt uppdaterade)
  • Försök med en annan betalmetod.: OK
  • Det kan vara ett tillfälligt uppkopplingsproblem. Vänta i några timmar och sen försök igen. : OK (inga problem här, jag har väntat ett dygn ....)
  • Ta kontakt med din betalningsleverantör. : OK (dom kan inte se något, jag kan handla annat på Internet)

Santander (mastercard), just confirmed, is looking into a major problem with Spotify-customers right now! (IT-department is working on it as we speek)
Please Accept my answer as a solution so other Santander customers can get this info.

Sorry to hear that this is happening.

 

Here are a few things you can try:

  • Make sure your new card is Enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. Look for these settings in your bank’s mobile app. 
  • Try entering your payment details again using a private/incognito window. 
  • It might just be a temporary connection issue, so wait a few hours and try again.

I have allready tryed all that, several times. I explaind in swedish, but that was the language spotify presented all the information to me.

I still having the same problem.

 

Day 2 without premium.

Can you try activating Premium from this link, and let us know if this is also happening when you try using another payment method like PayPal?

 

It would also be helpful if you attach a screenshot of the error message you receive with your next reply.
