My Question or Issue

I am now a member of Premium Family. I want to stop being a member of that family and start my own Premium Family plan as an administrator while maintaining my account. What should I do?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

You can first leave the Premium Family plan of which you're currently a member, by following these steps:

1. Log in to your account page
2. Under Your plan, click Change Plan
3. Scroll to Spotify Free and select Cancel Premium

Your account will immediately switch to the free plan, and you can then start your own Premium Family plan using your same Spotify account here. No worries, you'll keep all of your playlists and saved music when leaving the old Premium Family plan and starting your own new one.

To invite other members of your residence to your new Premium Family plan, you can then follow the steps in this support article. 

Bear in mind that to accept the invites to Premium Family, other members must reside at the same address as you (the plan manager). Also, note that members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once a year.
