Changed a country - and can't pay for my Subscription

Changed a country - and can't pay for my Subscription

I've got an issue with my subscription. I've moved to other country, and now I try to change my debit card data to keep my subscription alive. I tried to do it multiple timesm, and here are my users cases:

Case 1:
1. I went to "Update payment method", and put my new bank card of the country where I'm now. Spotify declared such update, and asked me to change the country
2. I've pressed on the country I've been from, and has chosen new one
3. Right after that Spotify has sent me back to home page with the old prices connected to my previous country, where I still can't subscribe to the same plan I've got

Case 2:
1. I decided that the issue is with the plan. I've picked another plan, went to countries field - and it suddenely worked. So the language was changed, the prices, etc.
2. After that I've moved again to my payment data (connected to my plan). And has saw that the country there, on the list, was still the same as the previous
3. I've tried to change the country - and Spotify has sent me to the main page again, with the previous language, prices and etc.

Question - how the heck should I change my country and payment card if Spotify doen's allow me to do so? I can't keep my subscription running because Spotify doesn't allow me to complete my subscription becaust Spotify doesn't like my debit card from the country I'm at. And at the same time Spotify doesn't allow me to change the country. So I can't pay for my subscriotion no matter how strong I'd like to do it. Wonderful.

P.S. Probably the answer to my question should be "Go to Apple Music", but I'll wait a bit.

Hey @Stan_D,

Thanks for reaching out.

In this case, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

Once that's done, you can subscribe to your desired plan using your payment method that's been issued in the country you're currently in at https://spotify.com/premium. Please keep in mind that you'll need to invite all members of the Premium Family plan again.

Instructions on how to cancel and how that affects your account can be found at https://support.spotify.com/article/cancel-premium/.

Hope this helps 🙂
