Hi there, today I moved from Individual Premium to my mum's Premium Family plan. I just realised that I forgot to cancel my Individual Premium beforehand, so does this mean I will continue to be charged every month? Or since I changed plans, has it automatically cancelled my old subscription and I won't be charged anymore for the Individual Premium? I did not have Premium with a telephone or internet provider just for further information. Thanks.
Hi @rebeccaharrod,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!
No worries, if you have Individual Premium and join a Premium Family plan using your same Spotify account, the billing and subscription switch automatically; so you don’t need to cancel anything.
After accepting the invite to join your mum’s Premium Family plan, you won’t be charged for your account any further; your payments will instead be handled by the Premium Family plan manager (the person who started the plan).
You can also read more about payments for the Premium Family plan in this support article.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
Thanks so much for getting back to me!
I have a weird question about that so I had premium individual and I switched to a family plan with my partner and his siblings and my individual premium ran out as I didn't have any money in my account and it says that my premium id paused even though I changed and logged in on the family plan. I just wonder if you could give me some pointers on what to do

Can I join spotify family premium plan even if my solo premium plan hasn't ended?
Hi @cravvz,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!
Yes, you can join a Premium Family plan if you’re currently subscribed to Premium Individual. When you accept the invite to Premium Family, your subscription and billing switch automatically, so there’s no need to cancel anything. All payments will then be made by the Premium Family plan manager, and any remaining Premium Individual time that you have is forfeited.
Note that if your current Premium Individual plan is associated with a partner company (e.g your phone or internet provider), you’ll first need to cancel with them and wait for your current Premium time to end before you can join a Premium Family plan; you can find their contact link on your account page, under Payment.
Note that to accept the invite to Premium Family, you must live at the same address as the plan manager. Also note that members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once in 12 months.
